Inspired by Michael Velliquette’s Intuitive Patterns installation at RAM Downtown, this drop-in workshop invites participants to explore color, geometry, and imaginative abstraction through the art of paper cutting. Using colored paper and scissors, you’ll create your own intuitive compositions inspired by Velliquette’s intricate designs, vibrant color palettes, and references to portals, windows, and geometric symbols. Create one or several unique paper works to take home, or contribute your creations to a collaborative installation of hundreds of handmade patterns that will transform RAM Wustum’s entry hallway into a vibrant community artwork. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to explore.
Part of RAM’s In/Between festival (September 18–27, 2026).
