MEMBER EVENT: RAM In/Between Festival - Look-Up Aerial Arts: Éolia

Sway pole-based performances activating public space through choreographed suspension, fabric movement, and shifting spatial form. Look-Up Aerial Arts is a Quebec-based company whose practice foregrounds aerial craft, using rigging, balance, and embodied motion to construct temporary architectures in the air. Éolia offers a live metamorphosis, brought about by the encounter with the other and the connection with the environment. Oscillating gracefully 20 feet above the ground, the sway pole is a circus discipline in which the acrobat perches high above, swaying and twirling in all directions. The movements evoke wind blowing through flowers, a butterfly fluttering, and a bird taking graceful flight.
