Since 1950\, "Service Above Self" has been the international service organization's motto.\n\nAnd here in Racine\, the birthplace of Paul P. Harris who created Rotary International\, the Racine\n\nFounders Club has embraced that ideal for 109 years.\n\n\n\nThe Racine Founders Rotary Club invites everyone to find their volunteer niche in the first\n\nService Above Self Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, Saturday\, Jan. 31 at Fountain Hall\, 8505\n\nDurand Ave.\n\n\n\nIf you made a New Year's resolution to get more involved in the community\, you will likely find\n\nyour niche at the Expo. The Founders Club has invited service organizations from around the\n\narea to gather at one spot where people can see what they do for the community and how they\n\ncan help. There are volunteer opportunities for adults and kids alike.\n\n\n\nConcessions will be available and door prizes will be awarded every half hour. The event is free\n\n  a service of the Racine Founders Rotary Club\, which for decades has hosted the Rotary Post\n\nProm\, Strive Scholarship and Founders Foundation\, which has supported hundreds of\n\ncommunity efforts in Rotary's 109-year history here.\n\n\n\nThe goal is to create a more vibrant place where everyone puts service above themselves as best\n\nas they can to help their neighbors and community thrive. You may just fulfill your New Year's\n\nresolution at the Expo!
